Greetings everyone!

After several months of writing, rewriting, and beta testing, I feel that my AutoArcade plugin is ready for a release candidate. The plugin is based on AutoGallery 2.24, and is fully compatible for those of you who use the gallery. Others may simply install the plugin and use it as an arcade!

The plugin already supports:
- IBPro (Invision Power Board Forum Arcade) games
- V3Arcade games

...Meaning... over 1000 games in total!

You can get the games from the following sources:
http://crazydons.free.fr/files/jeux/packs/vigilante/
http://origon.dk

I'm also mirroring the packs at free file hosts. Use WinRAR to open & join them.
Pack Part 1
Pack Part 2

If you haven't got AutoGallery installed yet, please grab the latest release from here.

Once you have AutoGallery installed, overwrite the files in your autogallery folder with these. Then go into your plugin manager, and AutoGallery should have an update available. Click to update.

Now, you can use it just like you would use Autogallery normally. Create a folder under autogallery/Gallery/ , eg. autogallery/Gallery/games/ . You can then upload your flash games to this folder and play them!

If you would like to see how the arcade works, please feel welcome to try it out on one of the following sites:

Why use this plugin? Well, it integrates nicely into (IMO) the best Gallery software available for any CMS - AutoGallery, by mr_visible. It also lets you add games SIMPLY BY UPLOADING THEM VIA FTP - no need to add them to a database one-by-one! For an arcade compatible with 1000's of games, this was a priority for me.

As for the existing arcade plugin for e107 - Krooze Arcade - it simply doesn't cut the mustard for me. It's old, poorly coded, buggy as hell, and too difficult to add games. It also lacks the support I need for my games.

Anyway, give it a go, see what you think, and please feel free to give feedback / report bugs / make suggestions. I've made it so that it's easy to make menus, statistics, etc. so expect to see plenty of addons and improvements in the future.

Enjoy,
[SpooK]

I must say this is a much better fit for me than krooze arcade for many reasons. More importantly there is no hassle and its clean cut, just like auto gallery. Once again great work on an amazing plug in. This is almost bug proof (well it is from what i have seen so far!!!) and its your 1st release!

AMAZING!

This looks like an awesome upgrade to autogallery, well done!

It does integrate very nicely, and it is great how it is compatible with so many games :D

dmb, how did you add all the thumbnails to the games? and where do you get them? The game packs above do not have pics

Hey guys, thanks very much for the feedback. If you have any further suggestions or comments, please don't hesitate to let me know.

As for the pictures, I think they may be in the last pack Andrew. I'm not sure though, so I've taken my copy and renamed them to the naming format of AutoGallery thumbnails. Simply put them in the same folder as your .swf file, and (hopefully) they'll work fine! ;)

Here's the image pack - I'll add it to my first post.

Thanks, those pictures work great.

But it is going to take a long time to sort all these games into categories. Can someone do it for me and upload theirs, lol.

Hey Mondeezy, the trick is to have a thumbnail file with the following name format: th_<SWFFile.swf>.<EXT>

So, if your flash game is called football.swf and your thumbnail is in the jpg format, the thumbnail needs to be called th_football.swf.jpg

Hope this helps you out. If you post a link to your site I may be able to help better.
