buddy
userjournals_menu

these plugins not showing up in the menu

can these plugin developers be let to know and can they kindly help ?

these two are very helpful plugins and werebeing used by many, to get them
back will be great and essential too

can someone offer a quick and dirty fix to show them up in the meny blocks -
they do show up as installed plugins in plugin manager

some themes like 'leaf' leaf do not show all the installed plugins in menu plus links to plugins is messed up eg
h ttp: // localhost/ e107_plugins/autogallery/autogallery.php
it omits the e107 between localhost and e107 - thus clicking the gallery link leads to
error page

Be aware that it might not be the fault of these plugins. It could be your version of 0.7 or another plugin at fault.

Best suggestion is to do some simple debugging. Basically, this involves editing the plugins.php file (in this case) in the e107_admin folder and adding print functions, something like:
print "Step 1<br>";
print "Step 2<br>";

That way, you can see how far it gets and where it breaks.

Asking the plugin maker for help in this sort of situation isn't always the best thing to do as it may work for them as they don't have the same setup as you (I know, I've been there).

Hello bugrain, thanks ...
support for version .617 has stopped and now its all about version .7 .....

if anybody tests ( in any set up ) the latest available version .7 package ( that is available at this very moment ) and install the latest buddy and journal package they will get the same error in any environ ..... perhaps its time to upgrade some of the plugins to make them compatible to ver .7 as this is the time for all the beta testing.

BTW the old plugin for buddy works OK apparently but the version .7 plugin manager reports it as "yellow" and asks to upgrade, once you upgrade it no more works !

ONE MORE HELP , please, if you are here again bugrain,

why does some items appear as striked thru in agenda ?

Well, if they did a clean install of 0.7 and just installed the two plugins you mention then they should get the same problem. However, if there are any other plugins installed then they may be contributing to the problem.

Entries in Agenda that are crossed out are completed entries.

Hi Bugrain ..thanks a lot.

probably that is what I was meaning

I did a clean install of e107 .617 latest
and a clean install of latest buddy plugin and journal plugin ( no toher plugin )
---> no problem

Now, I did a clean install of e107 .seven latest package
and a clean install of latest buddy plugin and journal plugin ( no other plugin )
---> problem

probelm : journal does not show up in menu
buddy plugin gives fatal error

any one can generate / recreate this problem.

Question is how I can get this to work normally like before ??
Any quick and dirty fix ?

Thanks a lot for the info on Agenda.
