Hi all,

I've been using e107 for a while now, so I thought it was about time I put something back into the community :)

I'm currently working on creating an arcade for e107 with an automated scoreboard. It's based on the flash files available from [link] which send scores back to a script when the game is over.

I'm far from an expert programmer, and definately not any sort of artist, so once complete the code/design could definately do with a little touching up, so be my guest if you wanna have a bash at that!

So far I've got best part of the administrative interface (for managing games and categories) complete. Hopefully, by the end of today I should have at least a beta version for you to all get your teeth into!

I've chosen a small selection of games to be bundled with the download (a dozen or so) so you can all get testing once you've got it down :)

Anyway, if anone has any comments or suggestions for while I'm still working on this project feel free to drop me a line on here or on my MSN (aterlatus@hotmail.com).

Sorry about the delay on coding here everyone, but I've had a hectic few days! Should have a version ready for BETA by tomorrow though :)

I won't code some of the less useful stuff just yet (like score pruning for removing bad scores) but the bulk of it should be in there :)

Well, the first version (0.5) has been uploaded - just gotta wait for it to appear in the downloads section now :)

Look out for "KroozeArcade" in there and let me know what you all think here :)

Thanks

Steve

Always the way once you've sent the upload, but I've just realised that I forgot to update the descriptions / controls for the included games - I'll let you all play them to work this out for yourself and give your install a personal touch ;)

The next version should come with ready-completed details though!

OK, maybe I should've tested this a bit more thoroughly before posting, but it *is* gone 6AM afterall!

The sort order for the full games list uses a "popularity" calculation - the average number of times the game has been played per day since it was installed. However, I got the sort order the wrong way around so it goes from the least to most popular!

Open up kroozearcade.php, go to line xx and change:

ORDER BY popularity;");

at the end to

ORDER BY popularity DESC;");

and all will be sorted :)

Great plugin, tested and installed on my site. I've been looking for a high-scores-capable plugin for sometime now, thanks for the great work :)

Thanks for the positive feedback :)

I'll try and spend some time on it this week to patch up the few missing parts (maintaining a banlist and everything) - just don't wanna rush it and spoil it all. lol

If anyone feels a bit more artistic than I am when it comes to e107, feel free to try and make my tables and what not a bit prettier (and more in theme with e107, for that matter) and I'll be glad to implement it :)

Thanks again,

Steve
